Phone Calls
Connect your own SIP carrier to a published EVA or Cartesia agent. Phone Calls supports incoming and outgoing call setup.
What you need
| Item | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| A phone number with SIP trunking | Your chosen carrier |
| Trunk address, authentication, and routing details | Your carrier’s SIP configuration |
| A published agent version | Build → Agents |
| Permission to configure calling | A workspace admin or appropriately authorized user |
Your carrier provides the number and telephone network access. EVA connects its agent to the call. Carrier charges are billed separately from EVA usage.
Connect a number
- Open Deploy → Phone Calls.
- Add a connection and enter your carrier’s trunk settings.
- Follow the destination and routing instructions shown for that connection.
- Choose a published agent version.
- Review incoming/outgoing calling and recording settings, then save.
Recording is enabled by default per number and can be switched off. Follow your business’s recording and consent requirements.
Test both directions
Call your number from a regular phone, then make an outbound test to a number you control. Check two-way audio, short interruptions, hang-up handling, and the saved call in Call History.
If the carrier rejects a call, verify credentials, number format, transport, and destination routing. Use international phone format, for example +90…, where requested.
Setup availability
A saved connection is not proof that carrier routing works. Complete a real incoming and outgoing test before customer use.
